In 1314, the mayor of London banned football (soccer) and the law remained for centuries, but failed to slow the popularity of the game and now it became the most attended or watched sport in the world.

The art of beard

After so many years of painstakingly taking care of their beard, they finally got a chance to show their proud possession. Competitors from many parts of the world including UK, US and Germany took part in this annual World Beard and Mustache Championship.

The contest's aim was to "encourage and celebrate standards of excellence in the growth, design and presentation of facial hair", while also "putting a smile on people's faces".

Though many categories of beard are being competed, one of the most spectacular is the freestyle category. Basically you can shape your beard into anything you like.
